"Diddy says"

So...

I've seen this commercial several times. It's a Burger King ad in which an "executive" and P. Diddy are trying to come up with a campaign to alert America's youth that BK is "open late" (which seems to be every one's new favorite phrase. Diddy decides that the most effective way to let people know was to simply say, "Tell 'em Diddy said BK is open late." They then show the overwhelming number of teenagers and young adults diving over cars and benches, scrambling to get to Burger King in the middle of the night.

Yeah, I don't want to say that media, music, movies, celebs and the like don't have some sort of influence on us youngin's, but I actually find it a little insulting that someone who relies so heavily on this specific age group, would insinuate that we are a bunch of zombies that can't make decisions for ourselves. He depends on our money, our support of him and his products, and our validation. Without us, he would be obsolete.

So watch out Mr. Diddy, you're portraying your target audience as a bunch mindless robots; and some of us aren't too happy about it.
